Last summer I wrote an article about the various toy figurines that were found in Fritos corn chips, from the hard plastic dinosaurs and spacemen to the figurative erasers (like the “Frito Bandito”) that came out later. That post has generated a good bit of interest, and the other day a reader brought this small poster to my attention. It illustrates the entire “Mini-Monster” collection, complete with names. Eight figures were released in all: Cool Ghoul, Mad Mummy, Gay Blade, Bony Tony, Few Manchew, Slew Foot, Batty Bertha, and Harry Scarey. For whatever reason, I don’t remember Gay Blade or Few Manchew at all, but I suppose 40-plus years can do that. Good stuff… thanks, Lory!
