This enormous Moorish structure, shown here in 1901, is Saltair. Opened in 1893, Saltair was an amusement park on the south shore of Utah’s Great Salt Lake, one with a long, and convoluted, history. I’ll almost certainly go into Saltair at length in a future post, but I mention it now as a teaser, as tomorrow I will review the 1962 horror film, Carnival of Souls. What’s the connection?
